Full-house, partial,
single-item, specialist
Whatever your move shape — full household, partial load, individual specialist piece — we have the right service. Each runs the same UK→France route with the same customs and insurance treatment.
Which service shape fits your move
The services differ in how your goods travel, not in the customs or insurance treatment — that is identical across all of them. The practical trade-off is vehicle dedication against scheduling flexibility.
| Service | What it suits | How it travels | Date flexibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full house removals | A whole property, loaded as its own consignment | Dedicated vehicle | Widest — you pick the loading day |
| Partial load | Part of a household, sharing a vehicle with other moves | Consolidated weekly run | Narrower — tied to the route schedule |
| Single-item shipping | One piece: a piano, a bike, an heirloom | Consolidated, crated as needed | Narrower — tied to the route schedule |
| Vehicle relocation | A car or motorcycle moved alongside or instead of goods | Depends on the vehicle | Set at survey |
| Storage | Held either side when property dates do not line up | N/A — an add-on | Flexible duration |
No prices here by design — what a move costs depends on volume, access and route, and comes on a written quote after a survey.

Volume decides more than anything else on this list, and almost nobody arrives knowing theirs. That is fine — the survey establishes it. What you can usefully decide beforehand is whether your move wants a vehicle to itself, because every other choice follows from that one.
The rough dividing line sits somewhere around a two-bedroom property. Above it, a dedicated lorry is normally both cheaper per cubic metre and far less trouble, and critically it is the only arrangement under which you name the loading day. Below it, buying space on a consolidated run is the better deal: the vehicle is going to France regardless, and you pay for the part of it you fill.
Two services sit outside that logic entirely. Single-item shipping is priced on handling and crating, not on volume, because moving one piano is a problem of stairs and doorways rather than distance. Vehicle relocation is its own discipline again, with paperwork that has nothing to do with your household goods and a registration process at the French end that catches people out.
Packing and storage attach to whatever you choose. Packing changes how the insurance treats a carton, which is the part people underestimate. Storage exists because the compromis-to-acte gap on a French purchase almost never aligns with a UK completion date — it is the normal case on this route, not the exception, and planning for it beats improvising around it.
