Storage between dates is one of the most useful services we offer. UK households selling a property before they have completed on the French one need somewhere safe to store goods between the two completion dates. Households whose French rental contract starts after they have to leave the UK need storage somewhere accessible. Households dealing with delayed conveyancing on either side need flexible duration. We cover all of these.
UK-side storage runs from our depot facilities in regional UK clusters — typically your goods are held in the depot nearest your origin city. Storage is indoor, secure, and dry; climate-controlled options are available for temperature-sensitive content (art, instruments, wine, paper-based valuables). Charged by volume for the time used, with no long lock-in.
France-side storage uses our partner depot network in each destination region. Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Rennes — each has indoor partner depots we use regularly. Climate-controlled options are available at most. The same flexible-duration model applies; we hold goods until you have access to the French property.
For households where the UK sale and the French purchase are out of sync, storage means the move can run on the right schedule for the rest of the work — customs filings stay valid, the crew commitment stays booked — and the keys-vs-keys timing becomes a logistical concern rather than a deal-breaker.

French property timing is its own obstacle. The gap between the compromis de vente and the acte authentique is real, it is rarely short, and it does not politely align itself with the date your UK buyer wants the keys.
So goods go into store, inventoried in and inventoried out, for as long as the gap lasts rather than for a fixed term. Storage can sit on either side of the Channel. Where the hold-up is a French key handover, the destination end is usually the better choice — the goods are already across, the douanes filing is closed, and the last leg is a short local run rather than another international movement.
